Get ready to compete, the Grass Futurity competition kicks off in early May! In keeping with tradition, cattle producers throughout the state are about to put their eye for cattle and genetics to the test. In the past 11 years, participants have raised $425,000 in support of Cattle Action Legal Fund, PAC, Beef Counts and fire disaster relief!

Top gainers for each month will receive a prize and overall average winners will be awarded cash and prizes ($32,000 was awarded in 2022)! We invite you to survey your herd for the best gain potential or pick a yearling up at the auction. Your entry fee is the steer you enter, and is a tax deductible contribution. Every entry will receive official Grass Futurity merchandise. Don’t have a steer? Partner with a business or friend on one and get entered. We have many individuals who like to partner on steers, so if you don’t have a partner, call the office and we will get you set up with one.
